Hi I was able to launch the game and send the slime out twice, but then on my third attempt the game crashed, and now it crashes every time I try to play. Windows 10 btw
hi thanks for letting me know I thought it was just my laptop messing up when I was testing the game. when I tested it in engine I didn't get any errors. I'll look into it again this morning and see if I can get a hot fix going.
Hi so I just released the hot fix for this. It seems godot 4 has an inconsistent crashing problem when games are built in release mode. I spent all morning trying to fix this but couldn't. So I'm just going to keep building the game in debug mode till godot gets a handle on this. The game should run fine now you will just see (DEBUG) next to the name of the game in the window. I'm sorry about this ahead of time.
Since someone else mentioned a recent promo email, I'll ask what does this line mean:
"the game is free till I add the 5th boss. The current version of the game will then become the demo for the game after that."
If I download it now, is it the full game? Will it work after the 5th? If what's up now is the full game, why not make it claimable? What happens if people want to download (maybe again) afterwards?
I appreciate the promotion, but it's a little confusing, so please clarify. Thank you.
hi sorry about the confusion I just wanted to be upfront that the full project won't be free. What I'm going to do is continue to update the game for free on itch.io till I add the 6th boss in. Then I'm going to make the version with the 6th boss cost $3 and the version with 5 bosses will be a free playable demo and will always be free to download. When I add the 6th boss in I'm going to upload the game to steam and charge $3 for it and sell steam keys on itch.io here for the same price. Due to steams terms and services I have to charge the same amount for the keys on all sites if I didn't have to do this then I would leave the game for free on itch.io. Now that iv typed this out though I think I might just continue to update the demo as well. so you can play it for free through the demo or choose to support me by buying a steam key.
i wanna know why i got an email from the dev trying to advertise this game to me. i have no idea how they even got my email. i've already contacted itch.io support about it, but if this is how you "conduct business"? hard pass
Hi sorry about the inconvenience. When you buy a gane on itch.io the developer is given acess to the email attached to your itch.io acctount. Its for updates and staying in contact with with your audience. At the very bottom of the email sent there is a link wherr you can unsubscribe to any future updates. I am sorry again about the inconvenience but the game is free. I'm not asking you to buy anything at all I was just trying to bring to your attention another fun project I was working on.
Thank you so much for the feedback! I really appreciate you taking the time to play skills and slimes and I hope you had fun. I would like to make the graphics better over time the game is still in development. But they can only be as good as I am an artist. I practice almost every day and I get better all the time. Hopefully one day I'll be good enough for you to edit this review. until then thank you again so much!

Graphics
{
Simple 2D graphics are a popular solution.
The slug laboratory setting is not common.
Cartoon style, a bad decision.
}
Gameplay
{
I really liked the character and the leveling system.
Silizik looks cool and cute.
Not a bad interface, I really liked it.
The game deserves 5 stars with a minimum of 4 stars.
}
Thanks for making this game!
